Dear Dr. Condoleezza Rice, This letter was written to British officials in an attempt to bring their attention to the growth of global terrorism and revolves around these three topics:
Deceiving the USI hope the UK will stop nurturing the Tamil Tiger terrorists. If the British allow the Tamil Tiger terrorists to openly promote their terrorist activities in the UK, how can the British Prime Minister Tony Blair appear with the US president and claim to be a partner in the fight against global terrorism? On many occasions in the past, the British government has allowed such activities by the Tamil Tiger terrorists which led them to build a solid fund raising base in England. Even after passing laws to curb terrorism, the British government continues to allow activities of Tamil Tiger terrorists without any hindrance on British soil. Its President S K Vaikunthavasan has been the initiator of many efforts to bring the government of Sri Lanka into disrepute as oppressors of the Tamil minority - This theme is yet been followed and it is in UK that the vicious anti-government propaganda is strongest. ..." Here is recent example: open Letter to Royal Commonwealth Society in the UK To: Mr. Stuart Mole Dear Stuart, Sri Lanka on the edge Building a peaceful future event to be held on 31st October 2006 We write with reference to the above event which is being organised by your society to bring focus to the situation in Sri Lanka. This event is scheduled to be addressed by Mr Sutha Nadarajah who is referred to as a Phd student at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and Editor of Tamil Guardian. We wish to bring to you attention that Mr. Nadarajah is the assistant of Mr Anton Balasingham one of the leaders of the LTTE terrorist organization responsible numerous killings and genocides. He accompanied Mr Balasingham to peace talks in Geneva and besides the Tamil Guardian disseminates LTTE propaganda. Mr Nadarajah constantly speaks in forums organised by LTTE fronts to propagate the LTTE ideology. It is indeed disheartening that while the UK has banned the LTTE terrorist organisation from operating in the UK, your organisations sees it fit to offer a platform to a known member of a terrorist group to voice their terrorist ideology. We (are) confident (that) the hallowed venue of the RSC would not be granted as a platform for people who further the cause of Islamic terrorism such as Anjem Choudry, Abu Hamza and Bakri ? So then why is a man such as Sutha Nadarajah who is a member of the banned LTTE Tamil terror organisation in the UK allowed to propagate his terrorist message? We urge you to let saner counsel prevail and cancel this meeting as it is not acceptable that the Royal Commonwealth Society allows its premises to be used for terrorist propaganda work. Promoting Terror in a Civilized WorldBBC's website http://www.bbc.co.uk/sinhala/ does not even mentions these and many other news stories that highlight how the terrorists raise funds in countries like the UK, Canada, Australia (article: Aussie Tamils funding terror by Cameron Stewart on September 02, 2006, published by The Australian), Norway, France, etc. I have found BBC News to be historically biased in favor of the Tamil Tiger terrorists while continuing to promote terrorist propaganda on their web sites. On the same page, you'll find terror activities by the LTTE: "1991 - LTTE implicated in assassination of Indian premier Rajiv Gandhi in southern India." How about this entry: "2001 July - Suicide attack by Tamil Tigers on the international airport." So much for free speech (for terrorists) and fighting global terrorism, all the while doing nothing about it!!! Is it possible that Tamil Tiger terrorists have infiltrated the BBC, NGOs and other world institutions and using their resources to drive the terror-machine? Should institutions like UNC-TV stop broadcasting BBC World news for promoting terrorist ideology? Should the British government stop this event and future events by the Royal Commonwealth Society for the same reason? Can a democratic nation like Sri Lanka ever get fair treatment and genuine support to fight Tamil Tiger terrorists by these great institutions and civilized countries? As a citizen of the United States, I would like to know why the UK has done nothing or very little to stop these activities that support global terrorism while openly violating British and international anti-terror laws. Madam Secretary of State, there are good reasons why the US has a policy of not negotiating with terrorists and fighting global terror. Why should there be an exception when dealing with the Tamil Tiger terrorists? What’s there to stop the Tamil Tiger terrorists from assisting Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups succeed? I like to think that this great country is truly committed to fighting global terrorism. But I and many of my fellow American citizens have yet to see real action and tangible results. We also fail to see why the US does not take an active role in assisting the government of Sri Lanka fight terrorists. Don’t you think that valuable experience can be gained fighting guerilla warfare in Sri Lanka which can be applied in Iraq, Afghanistan, Latin America and other hot-spots? Why does this great nation not fully utilize experience from other countries to fight terror? Thank you.
